AI Translator (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use AI Translator (the “App”), including text translation, voice translation, conversation translation, camera and photo translation, history management, and related language features.
By using AI Translator, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This does not replace any separate permission or consent required for a particular feature or use of your information.

AI Translator is designed to help you translate and understand content in different languages. Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following types of information:
With your permission, the App may access your device camera to capture images containing text for recognition and translation.
Camera access is used to provide the camera translation feature you choose to use. The App may process the captured image and the text recognized from that image to generate translation results.
With your permission, the App may allow you to import images from your photo library for text recognition and translation.
The App accesses images you select or otherwise authorize through your device’s photo access settings for the feature you choose to use.
When you use translation features, the App may process text you type or paste, text recognized from images, text transcribed from speech, your selected source and target languages, and the resulting translations.
This content may include personal information if you choose to submit material containing names, contact details, addresses, private messages, or other information about yourself or others.
This information is processed to provide translation, display, copying, sharing, pronunciation playback, and history features, where available.
With your permission, the App may access your device microphone when you use voice translation or conversation translation.
The App may process the speech you provide to recognize spoken words, convert speech into text, and translate the recognized text into your selected language. Microphone access is used to support the voice or conversation feature you choose to use.
Information about local and online processing, service providers, and retention is described in Sections 3, 5, and 8.
The App may store translation records so that you can revisit, copy, share, or manage past results. These records may include original text, recognized or transcribed text, translated text, and selected languages.
You can delete history records within the App where such functionality is available. The processing and storage of translation history are described in Section 3.
When you use conversation translation, the App may process speech, transcribed text, language selections, and translation results from the participants to support communication between people speaking different languages.
Please ensure that other participants are aware that their speech is being processed for translation and obtain any permission required before using this feature with them.
To maintain, improve, and protect the App, we may collect limited technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance data, feature usage data, and diagnostic information.
This information helps us understand app stability, fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance user experience. Advertising partners may also process device, usage, advertising, and diagnostic information as described in Sections 5 and 6.
We may use information for the following purposes:
l To provide text, voice, conversation, camera, and photo translation features
l To recognize text in images and convert speech into text
l To generate and display translations and provide pronunciation playback
l To save and manage translation history and allow you to copy, share, or revisit results
l To improve app functionality, performance, and reliability using technical, usage, and diagnostic information
l To display advertisements, manage ad delivery and mediation, measure advertising performance, and help prevent advertising fraud
l To promote the App and measure advertising campaigns, including installation attribution and configured conversion events, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices
l To detect, prevent, and resolve technical issues
l To respond to user support requests
l To comply with applicable legal obligations
Advertising-related disclosures and your privacy choices are described in Sections 5, 6, 7, and 10.
Some information, such as translation history and language preferences, may be stored locally on your device.
Translation history and language preferences are stored locally on your device. Online translation requests are sent directly from the App to Baidu Translate. Image text recognition uses Apple’s on-device recognition frameworks; however, the recognized text is sent to Baidu Translate for online translation, and the image translation feature also uploads the selected or cropped image.
Locally stored translation records may remain on your device unless you delete them or use features that share, export, back up, or otherwise transmit the information outside the App.
Please be careful when submitting or sharing content that contains sensitive information, such as personal contact details, passwords, confidential documents, financial information, or private conversations.
AI Translator may request the following permissions:
Used to capture images containing text for recognition and translation.
Used to import selected images for text recognition and translation. If a feature allows you to save an image of a translation result to your photo library, the App may request the access needed to save that image.
Used to capture speech when you use voice translation or conversation translation.
If the App uses a speech recognition service that requires separate system authorization, it may request this permission to convert spoken words into text for translation.
You can manage or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.
AI Translator works with third-party advertising partners to display advertisements in the App and promote the App through advertising campaigns. Depending on the services and integrations used, these partners may also support advertising mediation, campaign measurement, installation and conversion attribution, advertising optimization, and fraud prevention.

Where advertising mediation is used, TopOn may help coordinate advertising requests and delivery among integrated advertising networks. The advertising services used and the information received by each partner may vary according to the integration, your region, your privacy choices, and the advertising request or campaign involved.
Depending on the provider, service configuration, and applicable permissions, advertising partners may collect or receive device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and network information; IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them; device or advertising identifiers; advertising impressions, clicks, and video views; app installation or launch events and other configured conversion events; and diagnostic, performance, and consent information.
Access to Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is subject to the authorization requirements described in Section 6. Advertising and campaign information may be used to deliver and measure advertisements, attribute installations or conversions, improve campaign performance, limit repeated advertisements, and detect invalid traffic or fraud. Not every partner receives every category of information described above.
These partners process information in accordance with their applicable privacy policies and legal obligations. Depending on the service and contractual arrangement, a partner may process information on our behalf or as an independent controller. Please review the applicable policies for details about each partner's processing, retention, sharing, and privacy choices.
5.3 Translation and Speech Recognition Services
Baidu Translate
We use Baidu Translate, a third-party translation service provided by Baidu, to provide online translation.
Depending on the feature you use, the App sends the following information to Baidu Translate:
l Text and AI Translation: The text submitted for translation and the source and target language settings. The AI Translation screen interprets translation instructions locally and sends the resulting text to Baidu Translate.
l Voice and Conversation Translation: The text transcribed from your speech and the source and target language settings.
l Camera Text Translation: Text recognized from the captured image and the source and target language settings.
l Image Translation: The selected or cropped image submitted for translation, text recognized from that image, and the source and target language settings.
This information is sent to obtain translation results. Submitted text and images may contain personal information, such as names, contact details, private messages, or other information included in the content you choose to translate. As part of the network connection, the service also receives your IP address.
Apple Speech Recognition
We use Apple’s Speech framework to convert speech into text for voice and conversation translation. Depending on the device, language, and availability of on-device recognition, audio may be processed on the device or sent to Apple’s servers for speech recognition. The resulting text is sent to Baidu Translate when you request online translation.
Before sending translation content to Baidu Translate, the App identifies the recipient, explains what information will be sent and why, and asks for your explicit consent.

AI Translator displays advertisements and uses advertising services to promote the App. These services may support contextual or personalized advertising, advertising delivery and optimization, campaign measurement, attribution, and fraud prevention, depending on the service configuration, applicable law, and your privacy choices.
On iOS, where Apple's AppTrackingTransparency requirements apply, we will request and obtain your permission before accessing your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or tracking your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising or advertising measurement. We will respect your tracking decision and will not use other identifiers to bypass a refusal of tracking permission.
You can manage tracking permissions in your iOS settings. Declining tracking permission will not prevent you from using the App's core features. You may still see advertisements that do not rely on cross-app tracking, and limited information may still be processed for advertising delivery, non-tracking measurement, or fraud prevention, as permitted by applicable law and your privacy choices.
Where applicable law requires separate consent for advertising-related processing, we will request that consent. Consent for one purpose does not replace any other permission required for a different purpose. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to opt out of targeted advertising or certain advertising-related disclosures, as described in Section 10.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
l With service providers that help us operate, maintain, analyze, or improve the App, including providers supporting translation and recognition features
l With the advertising partners identified in Section 5 for advertising display, mediation, App promotion, campaign measurement, attribution, and fraud prevention, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices
l When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
l To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the App, or others
l In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets
l With your consent or at your direction, such as when you choose to share original content or translation results
Advertising-related disclosures are described in Sections 5 and 6. Depending on the applicable law and how an advertising partner uses the information, certain disclosures for targeted advertising may be classified as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Your applicable privacy choices and rights are described in Section 10.
Translation history and related records stored locally on your device remain there until you delete them, where that option is available, or remove the App and its local data.
Content submitted to Baidu Translate is retained according to its applicable terms. Baidu states that personal information is kept for the shortest period necessary to provide the service and is deleted or anonymized after the retention period, unless longer retention is required for legal, security, troubleshooting, or dispute-resolution purposes. We require Baidu Translate to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection and not to use identifiable translation content for advertising, profiling, unrelated purposes, or independent model training.
When Apple’s server-based speech recognition is used, audio may be sent to Apple. Apple states that related transcripts and request data may be retained for up to two years to improve speech recognition and other language-processing features, while a limited reviewed subset may be retained longer. Apple processes and deletes this information under its applicable privacy terms.
Deleting local translation history does not automatically delete content previously transmitted to Baidu Translate, Apple, or another online service. You may contact us at [email protected] to request deletion or assistance with a service-provider request. Deletion may be restricted where retention is required by law, the information has been anonymized, or it cannot reasonably be linked to you.
We ensure that third-party service providers receiving personal information from the App provide the same or an equivalent level of protection as described in this Privacy Policy. We assess their applicable terms and safeguards, including restrictions on processing purposes, confidentiality, security, retention, and deletion, and require appropriate contractual protections where applicable.
Before sending translation content to Baidu Translate, the App identifies the recipient, explains what information will be sent and why, and asks for your explicit consent.
You may decline. If you decline, the corresponding content will not be transmitted and translation features requiring that processing will not be available. You may withdraw your consent in Settings → Translation Privacy to stop future transmissions.
Camera, photo library, microphone, and speech recognition permissions are separate from consent to share translation content with Baidu Translate.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information, where these rights apply.
You may also:
Delete translation history or saved records within the App where available
Revoke camera, photo library, microphone, or speech recognition permissions in iOS settings, where applicable
Disable tracking permission in iOS settings
Use applicable advertising privacy controls provided by our partners, or contact us about your advertising-related privacy rights
Decline optional consent requests for third-party processing, although features requiring that processing may not be available
Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, including information associated with your support communications

AI Translator is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
Your information may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live. These countries or regions may have different data protection laws.
Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate measures to protect your information when it is transferred or processed internationally.
AI Translator may contain links to third-party websites or services. Content you choose to translate may also include external links.
When you choose to open an external link, you may leave the App and access a third-party website or service. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, or policies of third-party websites or services.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party website before providing personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
Your continued use of AI Translator after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Privacy Policy. Where separate notice or consent is required, we will provide that notice or request that consent.
